Production of the McLaren 12C is dead. That's according to a letter sent by CEO Mike Flewitt to owners that read in part, “The final piece of news I wanted to share with you is regarding 12C production, which we have decided to cease in light of the success of 650S. The new car has been so well received since its unveiling at the Geneva motor show (we already have a six-month order bank), we will focus all our capacity at the McLaren Production Centre on 650S.”
This represents a turnaround for the company that just a few days ago said the 650S would slot between the 12C and P1 in the lineup, and that both would continue.

Many of today’s cars feature a touchscreen infotainment system of some sort, with a number of them looking remarkably like a high-end tablet device. So it was only a matter of time before the two technologies converged. This vision appears to be a little closer to reality now, with images and a video leaked on Twitter appearing to be show a highly advanced version of Apple’s much-rumoured iOS in the Car feature.

An extraordinary 30-mile convoy of Subarus smashed into the record books this weekend – all in honour of rally ace Colin McRae, who died in September 2007. An estimated 1100 Subarus drove from his home town of Lanark in Scotland to Prodrive's HQ in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Colin's dad, Jimmy McRae led the Scooby convoy on its nine-hour and 300-mile pilgrimage.
